Clothes made from the right stuff

Function membrane

Today, there are various materials to help keep out the cold and the rain. The most common category is made up of so-called breathable materials. This is a membrane between the outer material and the liner in the clothing. These are water- and windproof but will still release body moisture from the garment. In Halvarssons’ snow mobile collection we have chosen to use the functional membrane Dryway+®. This is a material we have helped develop and over the years it has been thoroughly tried and tested. We know that it reach up to our high demands and the demands put on them during the special conditions in wintry climates, when snow mobiles are used. Speed, wind or water – they protect against anything nature holds in store for you!

This is how it works

The technology behind Dryway+® and similar types of functional membranes is based on the difference in temperatures on the inside and the outside of the membrane.
The heat on the inside allows body moisture to be released to the outside and the moisture to stay on the outside.
In a reversed situation, when using heated grips for instance, the membrane works in the other direction and lets moisture enter through the membrane.

Temperature regulating liner

Outlast even out the temperature in the garment and thereby increase comfort, no matter if it’s hot or cold. Cold is hot and hot is cold! The story of Outlast® began in outer space, when the material was used to protect astronauts against the extreme differences in temperatures. The qualities of the material adjust the temperature around the body to a nice level, even if the ambient temperatures and conditions change.
In short, the liner consists of millions of microscopically small paraffin capsules able to absorb, store and then transfer the excess heat to areas, where the temperature is lower.
When the garment is warm and the ambient temperature sinks, the warmth is kept in the garment thanks to the stored heat. And vice versa.

Maximum comfort fit technology

We are proud to be one of just a few European brands with the right to use the newly developed Maximum Comfort FIT technology in our gloves. This patented technology is based on the liner, membrane and outer shell being laminated together. Maximum Comfort gives a more flexible glove and therefore a better feel.

In producing gloves, it used to be difficult to join the function membrane and the outer shell while achieving waterproof protection that did not wear out or split. But Maximum Comfort FIT technology ensures that the liner, membrane and outer material stay tightly bonded. The technology is also used in gloves without membranes, with the liner being bonded to the outer material for a more flexible glove.
